Industries
Our top industries based on jobseeker registrations
remain constant with IT holding the most and Engineering, Health, Office and
Accountancy following behind. The
Recruitment sector experienced the highest growth from July to August with 55%
more jobseekers registering their CV’s. This was closely followed by the
Property and Real Estate industry that had 49% growth in the same
period.
In terms of job registrations, the Transport,
Logistics & Distribution industry had the highest number of jobs being
registered in August totaling 366,750 jobs. The Advertising, Marketing & PR
had the second highest number of jobs being registered followed by IT.
It was the Media industry that had the highest
growth rate from July to August followed by Agriculture and then
Recruitment.
Countries
There are no surprises when saying that the UK and
the USA still have the highest number of jobseekers registered. After that, in
order of the total number of jobseekers, the Countries are: India, South Africa,
Pakistan and Canada.
The USA had the most jobs being registered of over
1 million in August. Germany had the second highest number of almost 100,000
jobs and the UK was the third largest.

Industry Statistics
Candidates
In June the IT and Engineering industry attracted the highest number of
jobseeker registrations. The Retail & Wholesale and Charity sectors grew by
the largest % in the monthly period.
Jobs
The Transport, Logistics & Distribution industry had the largest number
of jobs registered in June of just under 500,000. This was closely followed by
the Advertising, Marketing & PR industry which had almost 300,000 new jobs
registered in the same period.
Applications
The IT industry saw the most number of applications in June followed by the
Secretarial, Office & Administration industry and then the Engineering
sector.
Country Statistics
Candidates
The UK still contains the largest total number of candidates followed by
the USA and then India.
Jobs
There were 1.2 million jobs registered in the USA in June. Germany has the
second largest number of jobs registered followed by the UK. Nicaragua was
fourth in the list followed by the Netherlands and then Canada.
May Statistic Summary
Because we like to keep you informed about our leading industry sectors and
countries, here is our summary of stats at the end of May....
Industries
Jobseekers
The Charity industry saw an increase of 60% more jobseekers registering in
May – this was the highest growing industry. The Legal sector had 50% growth and
the Electronics sector had 31% growth.
The IT industry still has the highest number of jobseekers registering in
total in one month followed by the Engineering industry.
Jobs
In terms of job numbers, the Government & Public Sector saw the highest
monthly change of a 122% increase. The Travel & Tourism industry increased
by 95% and the Health, Nursing and Social Services sector had a 54% increase
from April to May.
The Transport, Logistics & Distribution industry had the largest number
of jobs registered in one month of 467,585 jobs. This was closely followed by
Advertising, Marketing & PR which had 322,713 jobs registered.
Countries
Jobseekers
We still have the most number of jobseekers registered in the UK which
stands at 726,928 at the end of May. This is closely followed by jobseekers in
the USA which is 605,249. India is currently our third largest Country in terms
of the number of jobseekers registered.

We have this week put together a new Infograph about TipTopJob numbers. In it we have highlighted the number of jobs posted in February and our total number of jobs, the total number of candidates on the database, the number of jobseekers registering and the CV views per day, how long people spend on our site, the % of new visitors, the % of candidates that register who also leave a CV behind and finally the number of jobs that get email alerted out.
After some analysis, we would like to share some statistics when it comes to changes in “job” and “candidate” figures across our industries from September to October end.
We now have 54,852 MORE Health, Nursing and Social Services jobs, 48,713 MORE IT jobs and 30,464 MORE Sales jobs on TipTopJob compared to the end of September.
Construction had the largest rise in jobs from the end of September to the end of October – 188% increase. Transport, Logistics and Distribution saw a 137% increase.
IT holds the largest number of jobs in total today – a total of 227,486 jobs. Health, Nursing and Social Services is the second largest with 211,216.
When referring to candidate data, the industry with the largest percentage increase for the same period was the Manufacturing sector with 38%. Utilities and Services was the second largest with a 15% increase.
The IT industry is the largest still with a total of 431,408 candidates. Engineering is second largest with 328,745 and Health, Nursing and Social Services third largest with 270,750 candidates.
When looking at our Country data, we can confirm that we have the majority of vacancies in the USA – a total of 837,560 jobs were posted in October. The UK was the second largest – 39,201 jobs. Following on from this was Germany (38,322 jobs), France (15,208 jobs) and Canada (10,889).
The largest Country for candidate figures was the UK with 666,587 candidates and the USA holds 586,208 candidates. After this, India has the next largest number of 368,352 candidates and then South Africa with 150,640 candidates.
