Welcome to our new partner - Ride of Respect

Welcome to our new partner – Ride of Respect

The Ride of Respect are a motorcycle organisation that raises money for ex-service personnel. They support people in need of assistance (physical and mental), but that fall into the gaps between other charities.

Together we will be working to help those struggling to find work....

Finalists for two awards

We are pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted as a finalist for two categories in the forthcoming Onrec Awards. TipTopJob is a finalist in the best use of social media and theExMILITARYjob.com is a finalist in the best niche job boards.

Onrecs Awards are now in their 11th year and are firmly marked in the calendar as the industry’s must attend event. The winners will be announced at a Gala Dinner in London on the 19th March.

TipTopJob has been using social media to gain active and passive jobseekers which has been building well. It has gained more than a 20,000 visitor reach across social media and in July, TipTopJob was ranked as #7 for Twitter Follower Growth.

theExMILITARYjob launched only in October 2014 and has already set up partnerships with several charities including Mission Motorsport and UK Homes 4 Heroes. The site has gained a decent following and is building through clients posting a range of different jobs onto the site. The site is taking additional steps to help the ex-forces back into civilian life and help them to find a new career including assisting with CV writing and recruiting ex-forces into theExMILITARYjob and TipTopJob organisations themselves.

We are excited about hearing who the winners of these awards will be in March.

Good luck to us :)

TipTopJob and theExMILITARYjob.com take next steps to helping our troops back to work

TipTopJob and theExMILITARYjob.com have recently teamed up with UK Homes 4 Heroes and are supporting the Forces’ Motorsport Charity, Mission Motorsport, by providing placements and re-training for soldiers, sailors and airmen.  The theExMILITARYjob.co was created in order to Help our Heroes back to work, as we know first-hand just how difficult it is transitioning from the Forces to Civvy Street.

Now that British Troops have been withdrawn from Afghanistan, and with the size of the UK Forces decreasing until 2020, there is an opportunity to assist our wounded, injured and sick as well as regular servicemen and women find second careers and a new life after their lives in the Services. We have a duty of care to Help our Troops back to work that bit quicker and that is what we are doing with a website devoted to their employment needs.

TipTopJob created www.theExMILITARYjob.com and have engaged with businesses nationwide to get the website not only populated with job opportunities but also with commitments to retrain our troops to help them transition to mainstream civilian life.

Leading by example, TipTopJob and theExMILITARYjob.com have offered placements to wounded, injured and sick personnel in their own TTJ head office in sales and administrative roles as career stepping stones to being placed into permanent roles anywhere in the 83 countries where we are present.

Mike Dauncey, Chief Executive of TipTopJob states, “Action is required and action is what is being taken by TipTopJob, leading by example. theExMILITARYjob.com will be providing free recruitment job advertising on the jobsite – no strings attached – and are encouraging everyone and anyone to get involved in this worthy cause to recruit one of the many ex-forces into an apprentice role, temporary, contract or permanent placements. ”

Major James Cameron, Founder and CEO of Mission Motorsport, “We are delighted that TipTopJob and www.theExMILITARYjob.com are providing such quality support to ex forces personnel and great to know that such a passionate organisation are actively promoting opportunities for our guys and girls. The fact that they are also offering opportunities within their own company is a true measure of their commitment to this initiative”.

Introducing theExMILITARYjob.com in partnership with Mission Motorsport

Introducing theExMILITARYjob.com in partnership with Mission Motorsport

It is today becoming more obvious that military personnel who are leaving the forces and returning back to the UK struggle to find a new career and settle back into civilian life. We are conscious of the difficulties that the ex-military face and as a job board we want to help make a difference and get involved in helping our heroes back to work.

With recent news of over 8000 troops being de-mobbed / sent home from Camp Bastian, Helmand Province, Afghanistan and knowing our own government have made little or NO provision for our Heroes who have daily laid down their lives so we may live ours in relative safety, it is NO longer enough to put £1 in the poppy sellers tin and think we have done our bit. No, WE HAVE NOT…..we have a duty of care to HELP OUR HEROES back to work that bit quicker. And that is what we are taking control of!

This is why we have recently launched a specialist jobsite called theExMILITARYjob.com so it is easy to find jobs across the UK that are specifically being advertised for ex-military personnel. We are working in partnership with Mission Motorsport (soon to be a defence partner), supported by Help for Heroes, the Recovery Career Service and the MOD, which aids in the recovery and rehabilitation of those affected by military operations by providing opportunities through Motorsport.

On top of launching and managing the theExMILITARYjob.com we are also getting involved in additional activities to help the process of finding a new job. Currently we are advising individuals on how to better their CV’s in terms of structure, format and content so they are better placed to find work.

theExMILITARYjob.com and Mission Motorsport is supported by Help for Heros and the Recovery Careers Service. Together we will make a difference!

Our motto…. “To help our “Heros” back to work….that bit quicker”
