We hope you all had a relaxing and restful break if indeed that is possible when you are rushing from family to friends back to family and more friends to celebrate the holiday season. Either way, we hope you are refreshed and enjoying being back to work ready for an exciting year ahead. Have you made any New Years resolutions around your working life? We have been asking some of our users about their own New Years Resolutions and although many relate to changing careers, many also relate to eating habits at work, career progression and working on personal goals within the working environment.
A recent new story released this week has called for offices to reduce the amount of cake intake for the fear of rotting teeth. What do you feel about stopping birthday cakes, a tradition that has been around for years? Are you hopeful that employees tastes and their mindset can move towards a more healthy treat for our teeth and bodies? We are not so sure.

In our latest survey we asked if people took "holiday" from their quota at work to look after their children through half terms, Easter, Christmas and Summer holidays.
We all know that holiday camps, kids clubs and child-minding can add up to total more than what you could be earning so unless there are grandparents on standby, many have to use their "holiday" allowance to care for their children through the holidays.
Although our survey found that 56% of employees DO NOT take their holiday allowance, a massive 44% DO!
