30% already in dream job

30%-have-dream-job

Latest research tells us that 30% of people are living the dream and have landed their actual "dream" job. This is such fantastic to read and highly motivating for many to know that it is obtainable if they have not managed to find it themselves.

Within the same study, another positive finding was that on top of this, 22% are about to start their dream job as well. We really believe that sometimes, that dream job, maybe does not exist until later on life when you understand yourself better, begin to know what you enjoy and what you are really good at. So, do not be heartbroken if you have not found that dream job yet because you are unsure what it even is. Be patient and it will come.

Unfortunately, there were a percentage of people who could not find it for one reason or another (33%) and 15% never get offered it. Our advice is not to become discouraged. If you know what your dream job is and you are trying to secure that, then keep trying and do not give up. You will finally find yourself in it as long as you work hard and do not lose that determination. And as we have mentioned before, be patient if you do not know what it is yet.

Wouldn't it be great to re-do this survey in 6 months time, to find that 100% had found their dream job?

We would really love to hear what these dream jobs are, so please do share that with us below.....

Modern offices create motivated staff

In our latest study looking at styles of offices and motivation, we can reveal some interesting correlations between modernised work space and motivated staff.

82% of respondents say their offices are modernised and updated which is reassuring however that still leaves 18% of workers who are still operating in the 80's. Of these unfortunate soles, 84% said they would feel more motivated with a new, refurbed, modernised office.

So, the answer to this is to remind/suggest those at the top how important your office is to you and your feelings whilst at work. The more you nag, the more chance you will have of it happening. Yes it costs money, but what better investment than one that in turn creates a motivated and productive workforce. If you get a chance to discuss what motivates you, make sure you are clear to mention how important your surroundings are to you. Just take a look at the pictures below where you can see a before and after and the potential your office has of improving for the better. We know what we would choose!!!

Happy New Year TipTopers!

Happy New Year to all of you TipTopers from the whole TipTopJob team. We hope you all had a relaxing and restful break if indeed that is possible when you are rushing from family to friends back to family and more friends to celebrate the holiday season. Either way, we hope you are refreshed and enjoying being back to work ready for an exciting year ahead. Have you made any New Years resolutions around your working life? If so, why not share them with us here? You may motivate someone else to strive to achieve something new!

We have been asking some of our users about their own New Years Resolutions and although many relate to changing careers, many also relate to eating habits at work, career progression and working on personal goals within the working environment.

A recent new story released this week has called for offices to reduce the amount of cake intake for the fear of rotting teeth. What do you feel about stopping birthday cakes, a tradition that has been around for years? Are you hopeful that employees tastes and their mindset can move towards a more healthy treat for our teeth and bodies? We are not so sure.

Love to hear your thoughts on this! Comment below.
